MEA Natural Perfume Oil

A Natural perfume oil hand crafted in Aotearoa New Zealand with sustainably hand-harvested Taramea.  Mea's unique combination brings you distinct perfumes to remind you of Aotearoa. Together they weave a thread in the story of an innovative and resourceful people – Ngāi Tahu. For more than 200 years Ngāi Tahu have enjoyed a special relationship with the Taramea (Aciphylla aurea) plant. It is a taonga species – a sacred treasure and highly valued. Taramea leaves are found high in the majestic Southern Alps of Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island). Traditionally, these are gathered by hand, plaited, and heated over many days to extract a highly aromatic resin.
